When I hit the "Turn off Computer" tab, XP doesn't turn off my machine, all it does is reboot it. Tips? Thanks.

using the command msconfig in the run command. click the advanced tab and disable fast shutdown. This cures 90% of reboot on shutdown problems at work.

lelu's link takes you to the definitive web page on Shutdown problems.

yeh that page helped me out alot....it used to take like 5 minutes for my comp to shutdown before.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
