I'm almost sure I know the answer to this, but the experts here can confirm my thought. I recently purchased XP Home for my 'puters. Right now, i'm using a copy of devil's own xp pro, but since it is more trouble than its worth....well you know the rest. Anyway, my question is will I hafta re-format my disk in order to go down to the home ed. I'm running a Compaq :)mad:) so i'll prolly hafta do the restore shit too. Going from 98 to XP was a snap and I've not had any problems, expect with updates and junk like that. Appreciate any words on the subject.

Thanks

Wes

I think it would be wiser to do a clean install when "downgrading" from XP Pro to XP Home...

A simple repair install would have done if you were going from the D0 ver to XP Pro... but I think there are enough changes mainly in the way XP Home deals with the users differently.

Guess you could rtry it, but make sure that you have everything safely backed up.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
