The title pretty much says it all.

I got Win XP Pro lately, and it works amazingly well, sort of. All of a sudden, when im in the middle of doing stuff, it reboots! It doesn't ask me or anything. Any help at all?

Make sure you get all the updates at the windows site. My first thought is a malicious script running in IE or OE. I'd suggest a getting your security up-to-date with a good anti-virus program and a firewall utility. Don't know if this will help, but it can't hurt.

AUTOREBOOT

Start\settings\control panel\system\Startup and recovery option..
Advanced tab/3rd settings button (under startup and recovery)
uncheck 2nd last box "AUTOMATICALLY RESTART" under system failure.

Windows XP have a so called Autorestart fuction or a so called memory dump! As noted above you can turn that off..

Also check ur event viewer..2 locate some errors or warnings..

start\settings\control panel\administrative tools\EVENT VIEWER

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
