XP Pro SP1 difficulties.

I have recently installed SP-1 on my PC.

- Outlook express -latest version- does not allow attachement files!! I can see the filename but I am unable to file it. - the contrast of the name is on half -like when you try hiding a folder.

To day I removed SP-1 and everything worked fine -

Then I reinstalled SP-1 and it was wrong again.


I wonder if anyone can help me ??

Well, did you perform a system files check prior to installing SP1 ?

Start>Run> sfc /scannow

I have no problem attaching files...

I am having the same problem... but I found a temp workaround until I can get around it...

It won't let me download attachements as they could be harmful...
lol

Anway... click foward and then drag the attachment to your desktop... works for me!

Did you try that:
In OE
Click tools/options
Click on the security tab
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus"
Click apply
Click OK

Strange that would be enabled, but I think that should do the trick.
