the main differences are in networking, as XP-Pro has all the business kind of network options and security, while the Home version, just has few networking options.
Dont waste your money on Pro, if your a home user, but if your a business then xp-pro is better.
By the way, you don't have to buy retail. I bought a copy of WinXP Pro OEM for $120 on eBay. It just comes with the disc and a quickstart manual, which is all you really need.
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
