i have installed 2 realtek pci 10/100 fast ethernet nic, one on pci -1 and other on pci-2 on a winxp pro system. xp installs the first card on pci - 1 but does not show the other one. i have tried removing and reinstalling it but still the other card does not show up in device manager. how do i get both of them working.

PnP shouldn't require these steps, but I've run into this before. Try booting with just one card installed, shut down, install the other card, reboot. Also, if your bios allows, you may want to try setting them to separate irq's if they are trying to share the same one.
