XP Memory Dump question

Over the past week or so I have experienced 3 lock-ups (crashes) while playing games. Looking further into it on my Events log, it seems that a notation for 'Dump' is logged at each lock-up. I have tried to find out what a Memory Dump is on the Microsoft support web sit, but that's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. So, my question is, what exactly IS a Memory Dump? Anybody else run into this problem? Thanks!

A physical memory dump is created if the computer rebooted due to a critical error they are generally for use in troubleshooting by administrators. To disable the feature go to System Properties ->Advanced ->Startup & Revocery options.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
