after purchasing xp home edition i was very pleased with perfomance on my pc, i have an older model (kids) pc.I wanted to see if i got the same results.I did but iam unable to activate xp on this machine and i am unable to uninstall xp from this unit .xp doesnt show up in the add and remove folders.how do i remove this os or how do i activate it ? purchase another copy?????
 
Yes you can only use Windows XP on one computer unfortunately...

You'll have to buy another copy to use on another computer 🙁
 
To uninstall XP from the kids pc you will either have to format hard drive and start again, or (if you installed onto a seperate partition) firstly use a hex editor to replace the master boot record (MBR) with what is in the file 'Bootsect.dos', then reboot and delete XP from that partition.
