hi, just wondering what kind of errors these are? are they "SMART"?

ive ran chkdsk, says no problems, yet in disk manager it still shows errors.

might try powermax, to see if any hardware problem, or maybe reformat/re initialise the drive..

guess my question is.. what is xp finding errors in? filesystem? SMART?

Reactivate the drive in disk manager if possible.

XP will mark a drive like this if it detects any read/write errors. It should be okay as long as it isn't a constant problem.

reactivate is greyed out..

drive passed powermax v4.09 full test,

backing up stuff now, and will do a reformat

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
