hmm..does the mouse "hang" when this is happening?..i mean do u get the busy cursor? cuz sometimes xp is having probs with quitting programs when u shut down. this did happen to me too, so what i did was to check if i can just hit the shut down button on my hard drive(control panel-performance and maintenance-power options. select the advanced tab and select "shut down" in the "when i press the power button on my computer" field. apply and the next time u shut down just hit the power button on the hard drive and it will shut down completly :)
hope that helps you mate

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
