What is the deal with XP and ZIP files. I use Winrar 2.9 and anytime when I am browsing my files in Windows Explorer, if I single click on a ZIP file, CPU usage jumps to 100 % or so for a brief moment. It really is bothersome, and only happens with ZIP files not RAR files or ACE files.

99% i would say its the zip file integration with XP
theres a awy to disable it but i acnt remember how
i saw an article at www.annoyances.com

Great tip! Here's the article's instructions:

Select Run from the Start Menu.
Type regsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll at the prompt, and click Ok.
You'll have to restart Windows for this change to take effect.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
