x64 7077 anyone?

Does the time it takes to update from one version to another depend on your files and settings, or does it depend on the version itself. I'd already like to update from 7068 to 7077 but not if it takes just as long as last time lol

How long is it taking?

Windows 7 fresh install or upgrade only takes about 15 minutes on the machines I have done.

From 7000 to 7068 it took me probably about an hour or so, I do have almost 1.5TB of data, does it make a difference?

7077 has finally been able to keep the shared drives mapped from linux file servers (Samba2) upon reboot. The previous builds would drop the mapped drives upon reboot.

Still can't redirect the documents folder, though.

Hopefully will be able to do that in future builds.

Got the 7077 x64 running on these two test workstations.

Been trying to redirect the documents to a shared folder on a linux server.

Had a thread asking for help about this started here

And my previous post about 7 dropped mapped drives to linux upon reboot, it has gotten a little better, but the "X" is still showing in front of the mapped drive, but I click on it, and I get in.

Seems like this version of Windows doesn't want to play nice with Linux at all.
