wtf IE leme open!

This happens for everything i download now.. any ideas why and how to fix it

erm settings look okay.

Got winzip, winrar and winace. Winzip is assigned to .zips

I'm having the same prob! it will let me open like exe files and a couple others but not zips,rars,aces etc. I have installed IE SP1 but I uninstalled it. Is this something that IE SP1 could have left behind?

i had it before and after IE6 sp1

And no i dont get it every time, just when i want to open stuff ;D

Im not sure, but i think that ie patch that just came out is doing this to us.

Its gota be, this didn’t start till i restarted after installing the update. My friend just installed the update and he has the same probs..

The best way to find out what happend, is to compare the registry of someone that doesn't have this problem, with someone that has it, and see if there's any option missing for the Internet Explorer key or something like that.

I haven't noticed it did that for rar files too. Question. To all of you that have this problem, which version of WinRAR are you using?

i dont have any problem at all so i dont know what you guys mean. But i have noticed that with one of the old windows 98 tools will fix it. When i am at home again ill check what it was.
