Writing to CD

Hi All,

I used to work with Direct CD which came with my CD Writer (HP). Unfortunately this does not work under XP. I thought that this was fine since XP is capable of writing to CD but oops.... it seems that Direct CD could make a disc readable from a normal cd drive and then make it writable again. Windows XP on the other hand cannot seem to make my half written disks writable again.

Am I missing a tip here or do I have to get an upgrade to Direct CD (and if that is so, does anybody know where I can get such an upgrade).

Depending on the version you can get an update from the Roxio site. Sorry don't have the address.

There are a few XP burner updates on the microsoft site addresing that issue.

I do not agree when roxio ezycd plat is instaled properly and patched it is fare better and pratical as you can close your cd to be read on any computer and it dose run fine on xp
