Hi,
can someone please help .............
ive just purchased a Kingmax memory stick its been installed but when I try to transfer pictures to the memory stick I get the message
"cannot copy pictures. the disc is write protected. remove the write protection or use another disc"
How do I remove the write protection ?
Thanks in anticipation

You could format the memory stick, that might help

There might be a little switch on the side of your mem stick . If it is write protected your cannot format. Thats the whole point to write protection to stop you from over writing or erasing important stuff.

Thank you for your assistance ....there wasn't a switch on the device, but after formatting the memory stick it worked ok.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
