World of Warcraft

Ouch. Repeated abusive comments I guess EP?

If your new to WoW I three pieces of advice I would recommend are to find a good guild that is suited for your playstyle (be it RP, PvP or Socialising or a mix of all three), find a mediumly loaded server, as suggested previously and most importantly have fun and quit when you don't find it fun. Finally, its possible to balance a normal life and WoW if your careful.

I was a member of the Deus guild on the Shadowmoon server until last October when the guild natrually closed. I'd been on for a year and reached lev 60 Nightelf Hunter by then anyway, so there wasn't much more to do (I'm not into endgame tier 1,2 collection stuff) so I have deactivated my account until the expansion comes out. I do still reactivate for the odd month or so every now and again to keep my knowledge fresh etc and to help lower lev people of course :D

Well we just killed Onyxia for the first time, only the 4th (horde?) guild to do it on the server. Pretty exciting, we are now also clearing MC (other than Raggy) in 2 sessions.

I will have my full Giantstalker set in no time, although at the moment I only have one piece - but I do have the ancient petrified leaf :)

holy mother of crap that is some awesome graphics!!

I don't game, but I read an article in Maximum PC that made me chuckle. This kid was on the WOW forums, bragging about being up until 3:30AM playing the game. Apparently, his mom plays the game, and was on the same forum, and posted a reply like this....

"if you want to play a game so late in your room, don't post on a forum that your mother is a member of. Busted. Grounded"

:p

Yeah was pretty funny.

I was reading the mag next to Erica while she was studying, and it was real quiet. I actually burst into laughter and she jumped :p

heh. always funny to shock the hell outta someone by laughing. usually it's a sudden "BOO!" while in a real quiet room while the target is not paying a lot of attention...... or a loud noise during a horror movie.... but not too often is laughter the cause of shock. well..... least shock in the jumpy fashion. often times sudden laughter has a "wtf?" kinda shock-and-awe effect.

god, I am still in awe over those pictures......almost makes me want to get the game.

OK, I'm over it :)

yeah. i didn't really find it that worth it when i was playing. i got bored of it pretty quickly. now i play City of Heroes/Villains. it's fun so far.... though i like the Villains side better..... seems to have more enjoyable classes.

Well I've played about 5mins so far. :p I know it's not fair to judge it but I'd say EQ2 (my current addiction - just awaiting PvP servers to reactivate) wins hands down IMHO.

If your a graphics whore I think it looks more sexy also ...

Not boring when you reach level 60 in a guild like mine
I've heard of these levels, guilds and whatnot, just not for me. It is a craze that infests the world though :)

I think I even heard once people sell their characters on eBay when they are up high enough?

I'd like to think my char is well known on the server, so a change of personality if someone else took over my character would be most apparent.

Apparent or not, Blizzard would not challenge it, even if they did find out, for the same reason they have not chalenged people selling gold...
according to Blizzard it is their "intellecutal property" MY A$$, anyway, you could get some serious $$ for your character should you ever decide to sell it... Im thinking about doing the same thing for my ORC Shaman on Lightnings Blade I have the entire elements set... not nearly as good as the BOP in blackwing but great for a Shammie all the same...

We're currently clearing out MC so I've been getting some good loot the last few runs. I'll have full Felheart in no time.

---

You really can't be the judge of anything playing 5 minutes. Hell it takes that long for some flights between points.

---

Gold IS Blizzard's property. You agree to that when you sign up. It isn't up for discussion.

---

As for selling your character ... I wouldn't do it just to make money. The time and effort I put into my character, even if I got a couple thousand dollars for it, less than a dollar an hour isn't worth it. If you decide to quit and sell it, then you get a bunch of money, but in no way does it make up for the time you invest not to mention the subscription fees.

Did you guys tell everyone in Orgrimmar to clear out EP? Looks like no one else is around.

I'm a lvl 4 warlock right now I think. :p Still prefer EQ2, can't wait for PvP so I can re-activate my account.

Give it some time, Xie! My level 60 warlock is a ton of fun to play (and a class almost as underplayed as a druid!). I know a lot of old EQ players, and they find WoW to be a hoot.

Just got Felheart Bracers and Felheart Gloves in my last MC run! WOOOOT!

Lucky git, just got the Giantstalkers belt and in a fun 10 man raid on Stratholme last night (we just pulled everything and anything it was so fun).
Finally got Beastalker pants (took my time) but lost out to another hunter on the axe from that pallid guy, but it was a guildie so thats cool.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
