I'm sure all of us have lost a friend to WoW, is it an addiction, a bad addiction? In my opinion it is the worst thing that could possibly happen to people who would still be nerds or loosers but now are complete hobits who stay in their rooms. When will it stop!

he he... i never started playing that game... i too have lost a few friends to it

lol,
I never started either :)
But yes, friends were lost.

I have specifically never picked up that game because I knew what it would do to me.

i am witness to the plague spreading through my school's yr12 (final grade) population...

That is really sad, 12th graders are playing this game?

Yup and they are all either "loladins" or druids standing in Orgrimmar seeing how many they can get to do the stupid bear dance.

WOW is easy, guild WOW is hell :)
I am now one of the Guild Leaders of Conviction

I'm still trying to recover from FFXI, i won't dare touching WoW.

I never liked playing RPG type games so never seen it in action.
I read somewhere that apparently some employers were looking to employ people who played the game often for their management skills or something. lol

yeah. Some guy got hired cos he runs a pretty big US WOW guild. It was on tech.memeorandum.com a while back. Digg also I think.

If you can't control yourself, you shouldn't be playing WoW.

If I could control myself I wouldn't get in any trouble at all.

I don't play WoW (play EQ2), but I think most all good MMORPG are unhealthy addictions. :p

I just got out of WoW for the second and final time. It's only an unhealthy addiction if you let it become that. Unfortunately, just to keep up and get the gear you need to explore new areas, you are forced to play it for an unhealthy amount of time. It's not so much the time involved, either, but the fact that you have to schedule your life around the game. 40-man raids don't just come together on their own. You have to tolerate guild life, which, like EP said, is hell. Our guild got to Rag in MC, but the drama in the guild had been building for months and eventually the guild fell apart.

It seems like everyone that finally leaves the game gets a good pat on the back from people on the way out, as if they were congratulating a fellow prisoner on making parole :D

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
