I have a P4 2.4GHz laptop running XP Pro and Word 97. I also have a Canon 1220U USB scanner.
Everything seems to be running correctly (I shouldn't say that and tempt providence, should I?) except for one annoying omission.
The scanner works fine through its own software and through programs such as PSP and Photoshop. Word works fine except that it does not see the scanner. When I try to Insert a picture the scanner is not there.
How do I get Word to "see" the scanner and allow me directly to import a scan?
