WMP11 Beta For XP Released

I still don't understand this crap.


If EP could ask MS why there is a link to buy a record that I already own.......:dead:

Its a contractual agreement of some sort I believe, in return for getting the album information and art. Was in 10 also.

My Zen also has the same option where if you highlight music already on your player to purchase it will come up next time you connect. Never seen that in action though.

I guess the only time it would be useful would be if you purchased a single track, liked it and wanted the rest of the album.

Ok, they play great, but WMP11 doesn't seem to recognise much of the extra tag information or artwork. Any clues about that?

Excuse the bump guys. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Microsoft refused to let me gatecrash an NDA, but I will be going to Amsterdam on June 1st to discuss WMP11, Vista, Live -- so if you have any questions you would like me to ask them -- please give me some detailed questions.

Not quite sure if this could be done with WMP9 or WMP10...

But, streaming XM Radio right through WMP11 is kick ass. I didn't see the feature until a week ago and never tried it until this morning (nothing on TV).

This makes me one happy person.

Add/Remove Programs
Make sure "Show updates" is checked

It is listed under "Windows XP - Software Updates"

I did that, and it says was completed, but its still wmp11, and still shows in add/remove programs and all??...
