Yes you can use you old skins from version 8.
Hey guess what else too I installed wmp9 version 9.00.00.2773 on windows 98se and it works great but its a resource hog. Don't try to install version 8 or 9.00.00.2601 on windows98 it won't work.
I tested wmp 9.00.00.2773 on windows 98, windows xp, and windows 95, on win95 it doesn't run correctly.
If some of use notice that you don't have the new minimize docking feature alot people alot of people are talking about then you have to install the shell audio player power toy or install the media bonus pack to make use of that feature.
