Wireless USB Adapters Feedback

Hello all,

I was just wondering if any of you have had experience with wireless USB adapters, looking for some feedback.

Are they as reliable as a wireless PCI NIC?

I'm looking at the Linksys WUSB12 and WUSB11, does anyone have any other recommendations?

Wireless USB

I use 2 LinKSys WUSB 11s in my home network. Connects on startup automatically. Internet speed via cable modem is as fast as PCI NIC cards. File transfer between computers is slow. The path is: Cable Modem to LinkSys Wired Router, to a LinkSys WAP 11 and then to the WUSB 11s. This configuration has been in use for over 6 months with zero faliures.

Thanks man, I'm thinking I'll either go with the WUSB11 or the WUSB12 (looks pretty slick!!!) Now I just gotta find a good deal on ebay that's ending soon :D

Do not use USB network adapters. USB is not designed for this.

And how did you come to this conclusion?

I would like to kno why you think USB is not designed for this.

LOL. a NIC is not a peripheral. A USB NIC is emulating a true NIC which puts xtra load onthe CPU.
