ok, i uninstalled zonealarm pro and installed sygate. i still have that slow time to load norton now, takes like 4-8 secs until norton will load. i have the new p4pe motherboard with built in raid. could that be causing this? i am not using the raid device at the moment though?

What program fom norton is loading? Try stopping sygate from loading at startup & see what happens.

disbale norton from starting up, run>msconfig. I hate that norton stuff running in the backround.
