OK...I have a account setup for any of my family who wants to go on my computer..or anyone...

and is there ANY way to setup ur own restrictions...like make it so they can't goto task manager (by pressing ctrl+alt+del)

or not be able to restart the copmuter from the start button...
or not have access to open some other tihngs???

i reeeeally need help!!!

I believe you would have to use the group policy editor and edit the abilities for the group you want and place your family members accts in it

There are certain programs available which specialise in this.
One which springs to mind is Winshield but I don't know if they've released a WinXP compatible version yet.
Winshield can disable absolutely everything. From hiding desktop items, to disabling My Computer, Run, Help, Control Panel and even entire drives (useful for disabling something like a floppy/cd).

More Info on Winshield: http://www.win2000mag.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=5405

Hope this helps,
Patrick

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
