Winrar 3.2 always puts everything into a temporary directory before it copies the files to the destination I choose. This is really annoying for large files becaues it takes twice as long to open them. Is there any way to make it put the files directly into the destination folder?

from the winrar help guide

Folder for temporary files

WinRAR uses this folder to create temporary files. If this field is blank all temporary files and folders will be created in the current folder.

It does this on purpose, no point in copying over an file if its broken.

ARRRRGH!!! Winrar is ridiculous. I tried that, and yes, the temp files do appear in the current folder and it just copies the files. I'm going to see if Power Archiver or Winace can be a solution.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
