Chances are that a majority of your drivers will be installed by XP during the installation and startup. If it turns out that you're missing something, then you can always download it from the web after the installation is done. Most of the vendors' sites have driver downloads, but let us know if you need help finding a driver for a specific piece of hardware. As far as formatting and installation are concerned, you shouldn't have to do anything in DOS or even use the recovery console. What Un4gIvEn1 posted is basically all you need to do. Have the CD in the drive when you start your computer and it should tell you to press any key to boot from the CD. From there you will have a blue screen with instructions and you should be on your way.
