Windows XP taking up too much of my memory?

Out of 256 megs of memory, I've only got 100 left when I'm running nothing at all. Is Windows taking up all that? I could've sworn that when I first got it, it didnt take up nearly as much.

lol of course winXP takes up the memory ... thats what XP does .......... faster processor needed and more ram .... thats XP's needs
