i'm not sure about the one provided here... but most just give you a file called uxtheme.dll
To install it, go to your Windows dllcache dir...
eg. C:\Windows\System32\dllcache
(or wherever u installed windows)
Delete uxtheme.dll if it is located in there. If not then its okay.
then go to your SP1 backup dir.
eg. C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
delete uxtheme.dll from there.
Then go back to the system32 directory and rename the existing uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.bak
paste in the replacement uxtheme.dll
at this point... windows should pop up a little message saying that a non-standard file has been replaced and wants to get the files from your XP CD... just click cancel (it appears twice if i'm not mistaken....)
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
