Everytime i restart windows XP it crashes....wondering what it could be ? LIke when it goes to the Windows XP logo thingy it restarts automatically most people say virus according to ogle, but i did virus scan successfully the day before with no issues. Any advice and if i need to reformat do you know anyway to save some of the files.... any tricks and tools??? and is there a faster way of reformatting a 200GB partition easily?

Can you boot into safe mode and pick a repair point?

If not then I would just do a repair install so you don't lose your files.

It might be a failing power supply, it never is able to boot into windows, but it takes you into the boot screen.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
