damn, i forgot the process on how to change the XP cd key, ney1 know how, it was one this site http://www.xp-erience.org but its gone now, ney1 know how????? or a site that they can link me to so i can read up on it.

why would u wanna do that anyways? but hey this is what u do..........type format c: and the command line.. Narr i dunno

Hey, i tried that format c: trick.....it didnt change my cd key though.. Nothing works anymore, can anybody help me?

well drag-on congrats on formating ur harddrive. So now you have to reinstall the ur operating system and everything else u had installed. As for the real question in this post I've attached a text file that explains what u need to do.

omg, their is no formatting involved, in order for me to use SP for XP i need to change my CD-KEY, my current CD-KEY: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx will not work so i have to change it with a CD-KEY that will work XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. guys get it,

I dont understand why you want to change the key?? If your hardware changes u will have to change it anyway, if you reinstall it'll change,.,. SO WOTS THE F*****G point m8!??????

I think your trying to get warez stuff to wprk.. WHICH IS A DEFINATE NO..NO on this website.

lol, hardware changes, WTH u get that from and 2end of all, SP will not accet my current CD-KEY so hence i cant use SP, ifi change CDKEY witch i have the new CDKEY then i am able to use SP

reinstalling, hahah u have to be stupid to reinstall to change a CDKEY lol

understand

Im not trying to get warez stuff cause i dident request it

how am i?

windows XP does not requir H/W to run

and to change CDKEY is alot more simpler then reformatting

sittin ere laughing at u guys argueing bout changing keys if u had run a search either or google it would bring up a subject ov changeing keys eg a keygen that u can get that does everything 4 u ;) btw i aint postin links so no this aint warez juss the facts :p

chill out

theres a few reasons why you would want to change the key and for legal software, say you build a new bunch of machines and you accidentially use the same key twice (stranger things happen) or some other reason. a ton of stuff loaded, do you really want to start over? yea it can be done theres info even on microsoft site. sysprep will also strip it i believe when it removes sid and users and when restart will ask you for key, users, time zone again.

I just foud out the link I posted was removed...didn't mean to cause trouble, or promote illegal stuff. Now the link I provided is only intended to be used by system administrators....read the warnings and all that stuff...never meant to be used by warez lovers....

When you activate one of the comps, you won't be able to activate the second comp.

When this happens, you use the Phone Activation option at which point you click the CHANGE CURRENT KEY button.

That is a LEGITIMATE METHOD to change your cdkey. You do NOT need to worry about it when you install corporate.... There goes your reasoning.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
