Windows XP Appearance problems

I have been having problem with the "Windows and Buttons" drop-down combo within the Display Properties - Appearance dialog.

I have tried installing, and re-installing even by formatting my hard drive but after about one month, XP's theme goes from the new look to the old style look, and I can only select "Windows Classic style".

I haven't found anybody else with a problem such as mine, and I hope you cna help me.

have you disabled themes in services ???

Post us some system spec's and a bit more detail on the fault plz.

Guyz, it seems that all my system was doing was halting the themes service... my themes thing must have crashed several times, thus win xp not taking any further action.

It works now! Thanks
