I have two computers (pc1 running win XP Pro and pc2 running win XP Home)connected using a pc-to-pc cable (nullmodem cable) as part of my small office network. pc1 has IIS installed on it and web page developed. I can share documents between them without a problem. However, currently I am unable to access the web pages from the browser on pc2. I have already enabled web sharing of the folder containing the webpage files. What can I do to make the web pages accessible?

Thanks for your help.

Does typing the name of the IIS pc into the browser not give you anything, can't say trying to use IIS over null modem is something I have ever tried.

I tried both the name of pc1 and its ip address in the browser from pc2 and in both cases I get "Page Not Found" error.

You have to open port 80 on your firewall.

[I wouldn't recommend using Windows or IIS as a webserver, just have to add that].

Thanks for your help. Once I opened port 80 on pc1 I could access the web page from pc2.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
