I love the OS but still haven't found some of the simple features that everyone is using, like transparent start menus and whatnot, or the "3D" like alt+tab menu. It's ok though, I've been having a good time with the OS.

What graphics card do you have?

The right side of the Start menu should have the glass effect if you have Aero Glass enabled. Do you get the glass window borders, or are they solid gray?

The shortcut key for the 3D windows-switcher (called Flip3D) is WindowsKey+Tab, and again, that'll work only if you have Aero Glass enabled on a supported graphics card.

My graphics card is the Ati Radeon 320M card. It's using 128MB of ram.
