Re: Windows Vista Beta 2 Public Download Available Soon

Cool. Can't say 5384.4 has been one of my favorite builds though. 5365 was my favorite build so far. Rock solid and fast as hell. :D
I'm hoping the next build fixes the window animation stuttering issue that apparently lots of people have been experiencing.

downloading now.

I keep losing my connection, I take it the servers are a bit bogged down.

Yeah, mine crapped out too. I am going to wait a couple days to download it.

I wish my comp could handle it, I need my new computer.

Thanks anyways.

Re: Longhorn - new details emerge!

The only real advantage that I have seen in the Beta? (I do corporate level security evaluations) Microsoft has locked the 'baby' down like Fort Knocks when it comes to Pirating this OS.

I just wish that they would take 1/1,000,000th as much care with 'OUR' data as they do with 'Theirs'.

Nuff' said........... BACK UP YOUR DATA!

I think the scale is from 1-5

I had the same problem with the my connection to the server

I am going to download it over the weekend while I am at my engagement party.

I think the scale is from 1-5

If it is from 1-5 how will they gauge hardware that hasn't been released? I mean, it took a long time to go from XP to Vista - surely there will be things available in a couple years that will let you score 6+?

They will probably just be 5 because 5 means "more than adequate"

Anyone know whether the x86 and x64 keys are interchangeale? I went through the sign-up and was given a key and links to the x86 version. Will my key work with the x64 version links from above?

I would think so because the same thing happened to me. I did the process twice so i could get 2 keys though.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
