windows updates download site?

i saw long time ago there was a site that has all windows xp updates as exe files so u dont have to always go to windows update after u formated or somrhing just install them off a cd or something, does anyone know that site cuz i would love to download them all and burn them to a cd.!

you just need to find all the updates that 'you' require. no need to download everything on the site. 😛

There is another way of downloading each update...look under the extra settings on the menu of the XP update site, i think it's there somewhere.

What extra settings? You can either get updates using the corp update site or the usual web update that most people use.

You'll be wanting to use the corp update site to find the updates you require if you want to download the updates to be stored on to cd.

Can go to the normal windows update site click on windows update catalog on the left hand side (under See Also) and voila, all the updates for downloading

(n.b. The first time you do it you need to turn on the update catalog option. Under personalize windows update tick the option that says "Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog under See Also")

AutoPatch XP works. It's a hefty download though, ut is very useful when coming from a fresh install.
