Windows Update Problems

Ok, so i'm trying to run windows update, and have done this logged in as system administrator, network administrator, and doman admin.

THe fun part? There isn't an error message/code. It just tells me that it was unable to install updates.

Windows does its little system search and IDs which updates are needed, you click on "install" and it gets started "initializing" then fails on all updates and says that it was unable to install the following and lists them...

I know this is hard to troubleshoot without any kind of error message or anything, but i thought i might take a shot and see if anyone has ever heard of this. any help would be appreciated. thanks

In my search of a solution for the same fault, I passed by your question
but didn't find an answer on the net. Or you still have the same problem,
or anyone who has the solution is hiding it.
I finally found a solution in this: Give 'Everyone' total control on the
COM+, DCOM and the installs run. As I didn't figure out yet which access
is really needed, I strongly suggest to delete that authorization as soon
as the installation is finished.

If, by the way, anyone knows what privilege should be
used, let me know, please.
