Windows update problem

Hi all,

having a problem with the Windows update icon sittong in the system tray looking sad - ie not doing anything. It says downloading, but is permanently on 26%, I have NAV and Norton Firewall - could that be blocking access you think?

I disabled both and the problem was the same, so I think the prob is Microsoft side??

i get the same problem too, the best thing to do is get the updates your self from windows update from the start menu
evey time windows tells you there is updates for it.

not sure if norton firewall is blocking the update, but you can allways try and desable it while you get that one update

i'd agree with manually updating from the site.

i turned off my automatic updates, but i have it notify me when there are new updates.

i usually like to know what i'm installing.
