Windows Update now v6 & Public.

It's being reported at some sites that windows update v6 is now open to the general public, read here please note, nothing will install it's just a read.

Wasn't it open to the public all along? Although a legit tester, I never had to download any special controls or enter my beta id to get into it.

I think it will only be final and published when people are pushed to it from v5.

Yep the 'bods' at M$ allowed you to use the beta if you declared you're a beta tester, if you were not you could still lie and use it.
