Does a volume product license key require activation? I know I have Windows XP Pro Corporate and I didn't have to activate it...I was wondering if this was the same thing...kinda sorta...

I don't think VLK's require activation. It would be one hell of a pain to activate 10 (or God forbid hundreds) of machines in a corporation.
In any case, I think you should wait for a confirmation from someone else.

yeah...it would be a pain...we just got one of those IBM Blade Centers at work....its a 7U chasis that holds 14 Blades or servers...pretty neat concept actually....we got the Server 2003 for those...guess I will have to install it on one and see about the activation....I still I will make a copy of it for myself tho...:)

no,.... with a proper volume licence key it disables activation sillyness so you never see it.....

make a copy for yourself

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
