Windows Messenger

How do I exactly get rid of windows messenger. I tired to find the windowsinf file but couldn't. Is there another way? Thanks for the help.

to completely remove MSN Messenger:

find windows/inf/sysoc.inf (hidden.. so unhide it)

delete all instances of 'HIDE' (so there will be double commas in the
file).

goto add/remove programs-->windows components..
you can remove msn messenger from there.

Would be much easier to instruct the prog not to load at windows startup and not to run in the background...
