windows messenger

Hi everyone
Hope you guys will be able to help me with this one:
Couple of weeks ago I read something about a tweak that it would NOT allow windows messenger to boot with windows (kind of a registry tweak) well, making a long story short my outlook express now takes 12 MINUTES! to show after I click the icon, believe me I counted it!!!!
Any help on how could I reverse it would be appreciate
