I upgraded to WMP9 a while back, it was running fine and error free, until today, now when ever I try and remove a file from the media library, it will just give me one of those errors where it says, "the program has encountered a problem and needs to close" Can any one help, me or just give me some ideas of why this is happening?

Thanks in Advance. I hope

I had that problem too. I let WMP search for all files again and set it to 'replace' all double entries. Never had the problem anymore...

maybe a bug then, you should expect that with prerelease software

Whenver I've had problems with WMP, they were always fixed by deleting and rebuilding the library.

Search for "wmplibrary_v_0_12.db" (usually found in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Index") and rename it to .BAK

When you next start WMP, you'll have an empty library so just repopulate it with Tools: Search for Media Files.

I don't know if this will fix WMP9, but it's worth a try...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
