Anyone have any suggestions for Win POP and SMTP server programs?

IIS which comes with (some versions of) Windows has a fairly decent SMTP server.

doesn't IIS automatically run as a HTTPd as well?

Yup, but it can be disabled and you can just run the SMTP, although it doesn't have a pop3 server.

after installing IIS what do I need to do to disable the httpd since I already have apache running and how do I configure the smtpd correctly..And..does IIS actually have a UI of its own or do I have to do it through computer manager or whatever?

open the run dialog (start>run) then open this:

%SystemRoot%\System32\inetsrv\iis.msc

That will open the IIS configuration GUI, expand the "web sites" folder, then right click the default site and stop it.

Then right click the smtp folder, then click properties, and set any options that you need.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the UI and it doesn't match the help file..but should I make this a local or remote domain...I this is seriously confusing..sorry for being such a pain
