Windows Explorer

Is there any way I can get windows explorer to look like this when I open it?

Probably need a registry hack coz I can't get explorer to show the folders on left panel instead of the 'common tasks'.
Keeps going back to common tasks every time i open a new explorer.

Mine does look like that every time I open it.

Are you targeting explorer.exe or explorer.scf?

Mine points to explorer.scf and I have not done any registry hacks.

When you launch the application called "Windows Explorer" or right click My Computer and select "explore" that is how it displays. If you "open" My Computer then you see the common tasks. If you dislike common tasks then you can disable them.
