Hello,

When I initially startup my computer or reboot, windows explorer locks up on me. I have to manually go into task manager and end the task. Nothing appears to be under my startup folder. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Are you saying that windows explorer opens when you boot up? If so have you exited eplorer before rebooting?
Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for the welcome.

No, I do not have windows explorer open before rebooting. When XP starts the center of my screen is frozen. When I enter task manager it says the only application currently running is explorer. I then 'end task' and the frozen pain is gone. I'm baffled as to why 'explorer' would even be running on the initial XP startup/reboot and why it would be freezing at that.

Someting wierd is going on. Windows explorer should not show up under applications in the task manager. It shows up under processes with a stack of other things.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
