When using Windows Explorer, and I want to search for a file, I would press the search button which would bring up a side-menu asking for the standard search information.

Now when I press the search button, nothing happends. I don't have any idea why! I just used it a few times and then it dissapared. The button is still thair, it just doesnt do anything.

 Any help?

(I doubt this is a bug so I've posted it here)

go to start >> run and type sfc

thats the XP system file checker , hopefully it will find the problem

Nope.

A dos window pops up for a split second than disappears, too quickly to read. I have already used scandisk with no success.

BTW: If it matters, I’m using WinXP Pro.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
