Hey guys,

Two of our customers so far [I work for an internet company] are having issues with Windows 98 and DNS. No matter what we do, it refuses to use the DNS servers and therefore you can't access websites. We have worked on both of these computers and have placed in the DNS servers ourselves, and still they refuse to work. Does anyone know anything more about this situation?

Add a name in Host field in the DNS tab, doesn't matter what it is. For some reason it will not work without one.

seems tcp/ip is corrupted. this can happen alot with win98. remove and reinstall tcp/ip and that should take care of it. i used to work for a few isp's and thats what we did to resolve the issue.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
