I have tried using the view folder settings option unsuccessfully to get the c drive folder to stay open when launching windows explorer. Everytime I open windows explorer, the c drive is closed (has plus sign next to it). I want this to always be open. Is this possilbe? If so, how?

Thanks for the help.

Right click on your windows explorer shortcut and select properties. Select the Shortcut Tab, and in the Target area put:
C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e,c:\

Make a new shortcut and use this command line:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e, d:\
