I was forced to reaffirm the hate I have for Micro$oft today when I find out that I cant run a freakin web server unless I want to dish out 100$ for a flippin upgrade!

Windows XP Home Edition does not include or support any versions (1.0, 2.0, 4.0) of Microsoft Personal Web Server (PWS). Users that need Web server functionality in a desktop operating system should use Windows XP Professional.
Could micro$oft have made an error???
I have a lap top!!! Does that mean I can use MS PWS? Probably not! *mutters*

Anyone have an solutions? I'm tiring to view .ASP files as regular web pages, and not in the asp code formate that keeps popping up every-time I open an .asp file.

I agree. However, if I let it get to me "they" will say I have some sort of "Personality Disorder.":D

How do I install Apache without having a nervous breakdown?

or you could get a real web server...
Tell me somethin. Do I have to compile the server or do something else crazy  I cant find a help file anywhere, nothing to help me with the installation and I downloaded what I thought was the server, and have not been able to find an actual .EXE setup file.

I wonder why they cant just FINISH making there program before they allow people to download it.

If I had hair, I'd be pulling it out!

Forget it, I found the help files on the web site. This is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to do all this crap just to set up the server. Right about now I wish I had spent all those hours in the porn sites doing something useful instead. Perhaps learning how to install web servers that people couldn't finish! :p

HeHE HaHa!

Way to turn my frown :( upside down! :)

Thanks alot for the info.

Now I'll drink a cup of coffee (relax) and resume computerizing!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
