Win98 and 9700 Pro compatible?

Hey

You guys know if Radeon 9700 Pro will run on Windows 98?
If so, how would I go about installing the beast? Because I tried it awhile ago on a friends comp with win 98 and some wield stuff happened. However it worked fine once we installed XP.

On ATI's site, they say that their Cat 3.1 drivers support Windows 98. So would I need to pre-install the drivers before I plug in the card?

It works fine with me..I faced some problems firsts because I tried to install the drivers for XP on win 98!
so install the catalyst which is for win 98.

Works fine on mine too(98,XP dual boot).
