Officially, MS says that they will support Windows2000 until 2010, but regular support for Windows2000 ends this Friday,

What is the diffence between "official" Windows Support and "actual" Windows Support?

With two machines in my home still on Win2000Pro, MS security patches for me is a concern. Should I purchase WinXp for these machines now, or should I feel comfortable with Win2000Pro until 2010?

Serious security flaws will of course be fixed, it just means absolutely no new features and support for new technology.

2010? I am sure there will be something to tempt you away before then... but then I think people still use Windows 95?

Even though these machines are online a lot, there is really no reason to move onto XP as they have no real big jobs to do. I would do it if I got Xp at the great prices that some people get it for on this site (Students, etc..). I, unfortunately, have to pay full price for XP, therefore it is not justified for these two PIII733's.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
